Filament weight ↔ length
Convert a printed part's weight into meters of filament using diameter and material density. Handy to know how much is left on the spool.
Inputs
Density in g/cm³. Typical values per material.

How it works
Why it matters
Spools are sold by weight, but slicers think in length. Converting between the two stops you from starting a long print and running out mid-way.
The math
Volume = weight ÷ density. Filament is a cylinder, so length is the volume divided by the cross-section area (π·r²). Density changes with the material.
Formula
comprimento = (peso / densidade) / (π × (diâmetro/2)²)More in 3D Printing
